THUNDERING MUSTANGS MARCHING UNIT

The Trabuco Hills High School Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit is the defending back-to-back 2023 Western Band Association Marching Band Championships Class AAA Champions and Class A/AA/AAA Grand Champions and 2022 Western Band Association Marching Band Championships Class AAA Champions and Class A/AA/AAA Grand Champions. The Marching Unit is under the direction of Brad Pollock and Quincy Nguyen. Visual Caption includes Quincy Nguyen (Caption Head), Charlie Groh and Johnny Jagerman. Percussion Caption includes Donovan Alanes (Caption Head), Dylan Schwartz, Angel Abonza-Ruiz, Emily Cabug and Stella Cortez. Color Guard Caption includes Don Gallaher (Caption Head), Madysen Marsh (Co-Caption Head) and Jason Pascual (Choreographer). Music Caption includes Thom Morales (Woodwind Caption Head), Ryan Elecciri (Woodwind Instructor), Alexis Winchell (Brass Instructor), Lenzel Altobar (Brass Instructor), Luc Dubreuil (Brass Instructor), Josh Sanchez (Brass Instructor) and Brian Watson (Brass Instructor)

In the Fall of 2024, the Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit will compete in Class AAA of the Western Band Association (WBA) circuit, as well as Class 5A of the California State Band Championships (CSBC) circuit. The title of the Fall 2024 show is Nevermore. Musical selections include "The Crow" by John Mapes & Ian Grom.

Rehearsals are typically Tuesdays from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, Thursdays from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, and Fridays and Saturdays at varying dates and times in September, October and November. As in the past years, this will be a very exciting year for both the students and the staff. Come out and support the students at all of their exhibition and competitive performances listed below ~ you will not be disappointed!!!
